Is it normal to make this observation of mixed-race (black/white) couples?

I know we shouldn’t be paying any mind to race these days and I don’t want to incite anyone’s rage or seem biased, but here we go. My mate and I are a mixed-race couple and we’ve noticed that with most of the black woman/white man couples we see, both individuals tend to be attractive, smartly-dressed and seem generally classy. However, with most of the white woman/black man couples we see, they’re usually pretty “ghetto” in appearance as well as mannerisms. Is this a normal/accurate observation, or something contrived in our imaginations?

    Yes i have found that too be true more often than not. I myself am a black female dating a white male. We are both sophisticated, social, intelligent, etc. But the majority (not all, by any means) of black male and white female relationships tend to be more simple. Not against it, I'm just observing. Again, not all cases are this way.

    It's an interesting observation. Of the mixed race couples I know, four of them consist of white males and non-white females and only two the other way around (one Ghanaian, and one Indian with white girls). Given that, if you're not white in my predominantly white country, you're most likely male, I should be friends with more couples where the male is non-white, I wonder if I'm discriminating and I'm friends with the white male regardless of the race of his girlfriend rather than friends with the female regardless of the race of her boyfriend. Probably too small a sample size (in my case) to judge, but interesting all the same.

    I know a straight relationship in which a preppy white/PR mix guy and a black sorority girl are always dressed up. I also know a gay couple with a white guy and a half white half Asian but more Asian looking guy, and the Asian guy makes it a habit to dress very Hobo-Chic
