Is it normal to make out with your eyes open?

So I've heard my friend saying how they've made out with someone while the guy kept his eyes open. That just sounds incredibly strange to me. I mean, it's one thing if you maybe do it for a second, but it's quite another thing to stare at someone while you're doing it. Plus, when two people look each other in the eyes that close...they kind of look like owls. It's like you're making out with an owl. Anyone else think it's super weird to make out with your eyes open?

    Most people have difficulty focusing on something a couple of centimetres away from their face. Also, most stimuli when you're making out is non-visual, so it's easier to concentrate on that if you close your eyes.

    But some people are highly visual, and so I can see why they might want to keep their eyes open.

    Most people feel an even stronger urge to close their eyes when they have an orgasm, but looking into each other's eyes as you both come can be incredibly powerful. Don't try it unless you want to risk falling in love.

    Whatever people prefer. Though it does seem more strange to kiss with your eyes open.

    My wife always told me that I kiss her with my eyes open. I honestly don’t know why. Her face is so damn gorgeous!

    That sounds incredibly outputting tbh I watched a video of couples trying to kiss with their eyes open and it was kind of terrifying.
