Is it normal to make out for 6 hours straight?

I've heard of losing track of time but is there a time limit for making out? A few years back I had knew this guy. He's cool and a good friend. I had agreed to drive him home after the Club party. At first I didn't want too but I'd be a nice gal this time. Anyways once we arrived at his place, he wanted to share a smoke and make small talk. And I still can't believe he used the chapstick move; he basically put on my chapstick and leaned over and snuck a kiss. Lol. It worked. We made out in the front seat for a few hours~. The whole time I was worried about kicking the gears out or honking the horn. I'm mean every window was steamed up. The only words spoken was "maybe next time...it's too soon...I have to work...yada yada". Once sunrise came I had finally managed to get us out of vehicle but started making out on the hood of the car. And the only reason we stopped was because his dad was on his way to work. His reaction: He just waved and said morning Dad! Is this type of making out normal?
