Is it normal to make noise when you masturbate

It depends on the orgasm and how it is achieved. In the past when I went to just fire off a quickie it was nothing, almost always silent...but nowadays when I'm deeply involved in it I tend to make a lot more noise, more akin to how I sound during real sex...I mean unless a gag is involved and I don't masturbate with a gag in lol.

It's not like I've done a survey or have vast experience of watching real people (as opposed to porn people) masturbating, but I suspect most people don't make much noise.

I guess that's because most people start to masturbate when they're in their teens or even earlier, there are usually other people around when they do it, and it's something they want to keep secret.

It's different when you're in private with another person, and many people find being free to be vocal adds to the enjoyment.
