I mean I literally love the 80s - guys where so hot back then! with the big hair and style such as androgyny, punk, goth, etc. Just hearing the sound of ''new wave / synthpop'' 80s music turns me on so well, I guess I am associating it with the artists who made it - they are the only guys that have come anywhere near to turn me on just by appearance... I type in band names of the 80s to see the members and wauwww. Plus, their music videos and stage fashions were so strange in a cool way, creative and unique. Unfortonately I was born in 91... u don't see much of anything like that these days.

    Wow, this sounds so much like me it's not even funny. I love everything about them - synthesizers, big hair, the movies and especially new wave/synthpop. I listen to a lot of different types of electronic music but new wave was where I started out and it's still my favorite.
    And I love the androgynous look too, it's just so futuristic! I actually tried dressing up new wave style a couple of times (white shirt, skinny tie, big hair, eyeliner) and honestly it looked pretty good. And there are quite a few synth-heavy bands with that look nowadays - La Roux, Scissor Sisters, Empire of the Sun and Shiny Toy Guns for example.
    Thanks for making my day, I wish there were more people like that out there.

      That's awesome!!I have tried the new wave style as well and it does look good.I wish I could see more examples of it these days. Thanks for the sugestions - I will have to check out those bands more. great to see someone else apreciates this as much!!
