Is it normal to love it when my legs go numb??

I'm f, early 30s & wheelchair-bound. My legs ache a lot, to the point where i've been in tears, but I've found when I lie/sit in a certain way & stretch them out while thinking of something/someone I like, they go all numb & tingly.

sensation has never been the best anyway, I can literally feel nothing there apart from a sort of throb/pulse, as if my near-useless legs have their own heartbeat. You know like when you need to poo but can't?? That feeling. I love it. It's such a relief from the usual ache. iin.

Is none of my business, I'm just curious, but what happened with your legs?

I like it when they go numb just so I can get that wonderful sensation of when they become unumb, that rush that takes away the tingling.

You are in pain a lot? Pain sensation is your body telling you something is not right. You should try to find some way of reducing, ideally removing, the pain. You should not live in pain, above say 70 I'd understand it more, but not early 30's.

Your legs going numb is the restriction of blood flow in that part of the body (unless its just your mind doing it). In some sense its the dieing of that area. You probably shouldn't do this all the time. Although numbing legs or other parts of your body is not majorly critical as long as you bring them back to normal again.

Regarding relief from pain. I always think about how I've used oil of cloves on aching teeth (many times in my life). Although this numbing compound removes the pain (wonderful relief), its absolutely disgusting in your mouth! (Anyone who has used it will know). My point is, I agree anyone will go to great lengths to remove pain, no matter how much it may not be ideal for us.
