Is it normal to love driving?

The only thing I'm really good at is driving, I feel so relaxed and comfortable in the driver seat of a car. When I'm on the road I feel connected to my inner soul and it makes me feel very confident. Driving is a very spiritual experience for me, I feel more in touch with myself. When I am driving I'm "in the zone" and I am more aware of my surroundings.

Don't get too comfortable. There's some pretty fucked up people on the road nowadays. Given all the drivers who text, drink, smoke, eat and speed nowadays, it's basically like dodging bullets out there. I consider it a miracle every time i come home in one piece.

Normal. Everyone has some sort of activity that makes them happy. I honestly don't like driving. The drivers in my hometown are road raging speeders who blow through stop signs/red lights, cut people off, and are uninsured.

If driving is what you love consider getting a racing license. It could be a successful career for you.

      A "racing license"?

Is that like a commercial license that allows you to drive large vehicles, except instead you're allowed to go 200 kph on the motorway?

Maybe you could volunteer to be on Top Gear?

      • You work in entertainment and get mad at your customers. But you can't take your anger out on them so you vent your frustration by being a rude bully to random strangers online.

The shiny will wear off after a while and it'll be a chore just like doing laundry. Enjoy it while you can.

    • do you think I'm a teenager who just got my license? I've been driving for over 10 years and I still love it and it makes me excited and feel more alive.

I don't have any idea who you are except to say you're someone that gets excited over doing mundane chores. To each his own, if you like it, enjoy it. It could be worse, you could be wasting your life playing video games, at least you're theoretically doing something productive, if only for yourself.

I suppose it might also depend on where you're driving and for what purpose. I felt pretty alive when I was the getaway diver for a bank heist. Also driving in most parts of Africa and Asia is pretty exciting just making the daily commute. But your OP neglected to mention where you get this spiritual experience. Also, you might note you ASKED for opinions, this isn't an unsolicited response.
