Is it normal to look up to a cartoon as a role model?
Ok. So I have made a lot of mistakes when it comes to friendship.
So there is an animation I have recently watched. The first movie had a girl who was hungry for power. She manipulated people, drove friends apart by getting them all to hate each other, and tried to take over an alternative world where she would gain all the power in the world... In the end, when she lay defeated, she truly felt terrible about all the awful things she had done.
But in the second movie... Those people who she tried to divide, came together and welcomed her as a friend. She felt regret and shame for what she had done... But she has truly changed.for the better. She fought to keep her new friends together and to keep peace and stick up for them. She was now caring and compassionate and kind.
And she is my role model.
In the past, I have done some pretty rotton things... But because of her, every day I try to better myself and become more open, accepting, and compassionate like her. And my friends, who I have done some pretty mean things to, really do compare me to this strong female cartoon character. Saying that her story is so much like mine.
I try to look up to actual people around my area... But every real person is so negative and doesn't give me very good advice.
Is it normal to have a cartoon character as a positive role model and influence?
