Is it normal to look at cute things when something bad is going to happen

Is it normal the something very bad is going to happen but all i feel compelled to look at all the cute guy characters from the legend of zelda IIN? they make me feel better with thier perfect cuteness. PS I have tried to prevent the bad thing from happen but it's really hopeless at this point. and i know some people on this site are probably happy that something bad is going to happen to me for all the bad things ive dont here so YAY IRL KARMA!
