Is it normal to like someone, but don't want her to be more than a crush?

There is this girl at school and I like her a lot. I think she likes me too, but I don't know if I want more than liking each other in silence, without ever telling her.

I haven't had a girlfriend since I was 13, so maybe it's just the fear of the unknown.

It's just the fear of the unknown. If it doesn't work out, than it doesn't work out. Fear of failure does not help anyone succeed.

Of course you are going to be a little bit fearful of her and you not working out. There will be a lot of things in life that you are going to fear! If you don't take any chances and always just settle for what is the easiest choice, you will live a much less fulfilling life, I promise you! Take the leap, I can promise you its better to find out, then it is to just keep wondering!

I think there's a very small percentage of faces that are full yes for guys like us. You think a face is perfect at 13 but you have no idea. You think a face is perfect at 15, and sets a new record for attractiveness but you have no idea. You think a face is perfect at 17, and sets a new record for attractiveness but you have no idea. Just because a face is perfectly smooth and symmetrical, blemish-free, and not unbalanced doesn't mean it is. Everyone has certain "the one(s)" that when you see them you instantly feel magic that would make an atheist believe in God if it was about God instead of about a girl. Just to see the back of her neck for a split second and never see her again you feel magic. I literally hadn't seen a perfect girl till 18, if one likes you you won't ever want to stop. If she doesn't want anything to do with you you look away and know from 1/5 of a second that you've seen a living goddess.

I feel the same way about a guy. I think it's just that I know most relationships these days don't work out, and I guess i just dont want to ruin the friendship we have. Kinda a reverse friend zone.

Yeah, I have the exact same thing with a girl. I want to tell her, but I'm afraid she doesn't want more than what we have now. And after that, she will never look at me the same way..
