Is it normal to like sheldon amy on the big bang theory more than pennyleonard

I can't help but laugh at them even though the show has jumped the shark,they are still funny.Sheldon and amy are just so goofy and awkward and they have grown a lot over the years.I don't get why leonard would want penny. She seems like kind of a unhappy drunk bitch that nags constantly?
