Is it normal to like both english rock and japanese pop?

When it comes to my favorite types of music I have two preferences. English rock and Japanese pop. The funny part? I hate Japanese rock, I hate English pop. Would you say this is a normal preference?

    I love japanese rock :c ... but yes it's normal
    I like indie music and japanese metal so yeah... basically opposite ends of the spectrum
