    The answer to the heading question would be yes, that is normal, but I find the rest of your post disturbing.

    Why are you seeing a therapist anyway? And you can post to IIN but not google the definitions of masochist and sadist, which your therapist presumably thought you, like just about everyone else, would know?

      Sorta my father was a great man, a hardworking builder but my mother the cunt was abusive to me psychically and mentally, my mother's dad was a criminal and former con artist and bookie, at the age of 13 my mother took my inheritance money, and spent it on a house and a new car whilst that cunt was showing it off to her friends saying she worked hard for it.
