I have bipolar and I know exactly what you mean. I wish I couldn't take my meds because it is amazing, the feeling could only be described as transcendence however society does not except people who feel like this ...
Unfortunately all I can advise is take your meds. We are not accepted if we don't ...

Worrying about this before you start taking the medication is pretty common, I think. I definitely did. But once I took it I realized that it didn't change who I was at all (including the crazy bits really :D) it just let me do what I actually wanted to do... Well, sometimes. There are still bad days obviously. The way I figured if it really made me "dull" then I could stop taking it.

However, it is also not uncommon for people to be unhappy with themselves once they're on a particular medication, because it makes them feel uninterested, or boring, or like a zombie, etc. Definitely talk to your doctor if this is the case - other medications might help. Unfortunately, for certain conditions there might not be a good alternative, and how the medication makes you feel might actually be preferable to not taking it... This is a traditional complaint with schizophrenic people, or so I've heard.

I am willing to compare myself with any other person who went tthrough any kind of psychiatric treatment any time you want. Actually that is what i have been doing for all this time. and guess what? everyone lost big time so far.

I mean come on. my paychiatrist had to point out in my papers I had " clearly anarchoid ideas". just because I quoted a sentence said by a famous anarchic thinker.
So it seems clear to me it is also about dealing with political enemies. It is also a political thing. Or, someone uses psychiatry to do that as well. So, no thanks, I am not going to justify any of it. FUCK NO!

These medications could be considered as real cures if they did not happen to deeply modify a person way to feel and therefore act, so they are more like chemical lobotomies to prepare for reindocrination. They do not make you any smarter, they actually dumb you out, you do not grow anymore knowledgeble of your own emotional and cognitive processes, in other words everything keeps being out of your control, so what is the point? Besides they cause several kinds of very severe side effects, amongst which: impotence, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, neurological issues, respiratory disorders, increased sensitivity to light, inability to produce sperm and after some researches they have even been proved as carcinogenic.

I actually wonder how it has been even possible for the fda to prove these drugs for human consumption.

Scientologists are against the use of medication. But it is also normal for someone with a mental illness to feel dull when they are on medication. I myself have ADHD, and when I was younger I was prescribed with Adderall which made Jack a dull boy. I don't really need medication anymore, but I remember how it made me feel. Like a zombie.

i feel the same way, being sane looks so monotonus. also most of my friends seem to be quite entertained by the things i do when i have a manic episode so i feel like i would be less interesting if i took meds.
