Is it normal to like a guy for 3 years even though he says he doesn't like me?

We're quite good friends. But he's said he doesn't want anything more than that. I've liked him for three years now. We went out not long ago. (It wasn't a date. Just a day out bowling).

He said he's not interested but I can't forget about him! We talk all the time on Facebook, but we're really quiet when it comes to seeing each other face-to-face at college. My friends get annoyed and tell me to talk to him, or give it up. He talks to me. I just don't know what to say. And now he's got a girlfriend, and she's really nice, so I'd never want to split them up. But, of course, I'd love for us to be together.

Is it normal!?

    There are no other guys you find attractive? I find that hard to believe. Could it be that this infatuation with a friend feels safe & keeps you from having to take risks on other relationships? Just a thought.

    You can't decide who you like and who you don't.
    You're going to like them anyway. I'd like people, but I only wanted to talk to them, not go on dates or anything. I'd have to know them well, though, not by attractiveness or anything.

    Obviously it will only be a friendship.You will find someone else who will take it further.He has moved on an so should you.

    move on, if he liked you he'd have done something about it by now. Theres plenty other guys out there ;)

    give it up he's just not that into you crazy, unrequited love is very unhealthy get out and get someone that will love you and stop drooling over somebody that likes you as a friend
