Is it normal to leave my teen in charge?

I have 3 kids aged 15, 10, and 6. I often leave my oldest in charge of her brother and sister. My husband overdosed on sleeping pills 6 years ago so I grew overwhelmed, angry and stopped caring so much about raising my own kids. That bastard told me he'd always be here for me and help me with the kids. But he never truly wanted kids and to make matters worse, he'd prefer to hang out with his friends and drink rather than be a father all the time.

    Even when there are 2 parents the oldest kids are left to look after the younger ones.
    These days both parents are forced to work, you do not need to be single to know that something is wrong with how society cares for our children.
    Children are seen as a financial burden, when they should be cared for and given all the attention by a loving parent.

    Let go of any past remorse and take care of your kids.

        I'm a single parent to older teens since they were toddlers
        I'm full time sole dad.

    if kids get too much responsibility too soon they grow up with resentments against authority and society amd also the parents

      Alcohol is bad most of Americans drink this thing ah,fix it with the father and it is okay to leave someone in charge she is 15 old enough

            It's nothing you did. I do love my children but I just can't cope by myself like this. If their dad was still here, I wouldn't be forcing all this responsibility on my oldest. She's my only help.
