Is it normal to know everything about a person but not their last name?

Is it normal to know everything about a person but not know thier last name? This kind of happens a lot with me. I can know everything from a person birthday, to address, to parents, to fav hobbies, fav color, fav food but I have no idea what the persons last name is. Is it really super significant to know a persons last name? I do in some cases but only if I have to differentiate them from someone else. Like if I know 3 johns. I know John Lee, John Ramirez, and john Sanchez.

    Normal. A person's last name is irrelevant.

    In our circle of friends, we know almost no one's last name and everyone is identified by their boat. So it would be Joe and Sue on S/V Sunshine, for instance.
