Is it normal to kiss a relative on his cheeks when his face is all sweat ?

Is it normal to greet a relative when he has been sweating like a pig ?.I met my Uncle in the gym when he was done and going to the changing room, and greeted him (in my country we greet people we know , mostly close people and close relatives by kissing them on the cheeks ), so i kissed my uncle on both of his cheeks while his face is ALL sweat . Is it normal or i should have said hi and that's it ?
