Is it normal to just smell bad?

Okay so this is annoying lol. It all started with my bf and how he's a really clean person. The closer you get, the more comfortable you are with them and tell them things that are just plain mean, weird, etc. So eventually he told me I smell. Maybe not like that but little things like he'd smell my hair and make a face like it prob stinks. Or recently he's made fun of my breath that it smells like garlic. He won't say that but he'll point it out in a way targeting my breath. When hes coming over hell say "okay smell good for me" I'm like ughhh! I'll sarcastically tell him "I always smell good" and he makes a face like "sure.." NOW, my friend and I were gonna hang out and I told him "ill be ready I jst got out of the shower" he goes "omg you showered?! yay" I'm like "wait what?" I mean it's not like I prefer not to shower or brush my teeth, I do like a normal person but apparently I still smell.

    • Maybe. He does have OCD and likes to be very neat and clean so I might not smell as good as he'd want me to smell which means I smell bad according to him. But then howcome people like my friend teased me about "taking a shower?" or sometimes my mother says I can smell better.

Wear deodorant, use mouth wash along with brushing your teeth, wash your hair or use dry shampoo when you don't wash it. And if you don't wash your hair wear a shower cap in the shower and wash your body.

And perfume always works too. :)

On one corporate yacht I operated, my chef had a real problem with perspiration and body odor. Of course, this was especially bad for a chef.
He would shower and change his uniform 6 or 7 times a day and go through a deodorant stick in a few days, but it was still a problem when we had guests aboard.
However, he was one hell of a cook, so I really didn't care all that much.

    • I mean I guess considering my bf is a clean freak, he loves me enough to smell through it.
