Is it normal to ignore the safe word?

How would you handle a situation where your partner ignored your safe word/signal during sex.

I am trying to understand where I went wrong and how I can address the situation better to prevent further physical harm.

I’d tell them that they can’t ignore the safe word. Or I’d find another partner. Someone who takes your safety seriously.

If you ignore the safe word then it's rape.

    • But is it still rape if we were not having sex?

The safe word is there for a reason. If the person has had enough of the scene and wants you to quit then you must immediately do so. If you don't the person will not trust you completely again.

Damn if I meet a women who kept going I'd feel very confused really about it.

On one end I'd be freaking pissed as well as being scared as hell to being very aroused at the same time.
