Is it normal to horde tins of beans

As the aforementioned question goes... I've now been stashing the odd tin of beans or two!!.. Not every one now, lets just say 1 in ten!!
It's a little trial I've set myself to see how long I can possibly store a tin of beans before I eat it....
I hear you think to yourselves.... Why not just keep the one oldest tin? I have to keep adding to my collection because I like a drink or three and the amount of times I've rolled back home, and thought how funny it'd be to eat the reigning tin!!
It's really doing my head in.... I've not yet managed to even get one to go out of date!!

    Add more layers to the challenge.

    -you must hide the tin of beans in someone else's house.

    -if they discover it, you lose.

    -you must recover the beans by midnight on the 60th day after they expire AND consume them in the house you hid them in in one sitting...completely undetected by the homeowner.

    -if they catch you retrieving or eating the beans, you lose.

    Level up:

    -recover the beans from the original hiding place and bring them to another house and serve them at a surprise bbq, but you must eat them all right in front of everyone

      Isn't that classed as burglary with intent to eat out of date beans?

    Collect a jar full of toenail clippings, stash it somewhere in the attic, basement, a crawlspace or even inside a wall then be secure in the knowledge that someday in the distant future it will be found by a complete stranger who will most likely be disturbed or at least perplexed by the discovery.
