Is it normal to have tv emotions?

Ok so whenever I'm watching netflix or youtube or just regular TV I always pause the show/movie when something embarassing happens to one of the characters. I do this because the embarassment affects me too...for so reason....Anyway is it normal to watch TV and feel the emotion of the characters?

Some people get really attached to the character on the screen. It's why the Game of Thrones people lose it on a weekly basis when their character gets killed off. Or when they kill off Charles Vane on Black Sails. Still a little annoyed about that. It's normal to get in to it or feel the embarrassment of the character. It's why we watch tv and movies.

I think its normal to have emotional responses to situations but not so much to feel like your experiencing what the character is feeling. But I also don't see the harm in it maybe your especially empathetic.
