Is it normal to have trouble getting sexual pleasure during lucid dreaming?

Ok so I was having this lucid dream and I was doing some sexual stuff. For the most part, it felt like almost nothing. There were some moments where it felt good though.

What's going on?

I've experienced the same thing too, whether it be lucid or non lucid dream. The sexual acts may feel nice, but it seems muted.

    • Exactly! It's kind of annoying, honestly. :(

Assume you're male. If so, can you reach orgasm by just thinking about it?

Some women can do that, but female sexuality is a lot more fun and flexible that the boring wiring we guys are stuck with.

I dimly recall reading about men who claim that they can have an orgasm - but not ejaculation - by thought-power alone, but I think they had to invest a lot of time and effort into reaching this goal.

I'm not a woman, so I can't speak from personal experience, but the accounts I've read of this are persuasive and I believe them.

I don't know how they developed this wonderful skill, but the women who can do this are really tuned-in to their own sexuality. I wonder if your lucid dreaming sex might improve if you spent time when awake getting thoroughly into some very detailed sexual fantasy while you were just lying comfortably and not touching yourself?
