    Not an urge, but more like a gag reflex that has sometimes been so volatile that I've either almost vomited or did vomit. The pain from it has been like being stabbed in the throat with acid dipped daggers.

    Yes, what helps me is to gargle with some warm water and amke sure it hits the back of your throat then spit. sorts me out. you're probably a smoker like me then?
