Is it normal to have super detailed, crazy dreams on antidepressants?

I take Effexor and since I started Ive had the weirdest dreams. And I can remember all the details, its almost like I am in a play or even a musical. Last night I had a dream I was Cosette in Les Miserables only everybody was really grimy and dirty, and I ended up with this old man with snaggle teeth. Any of you guys have weird dreams on meds?

    Omg yesyesyesyes!! I was on zoloft, then switched to lexipro and xanax. My dreams are so vivid i love sleeping now! And i swear to god you wont believe me but 3 of the dreams i had actually came true and i just had to tell everyone i knew. Like holy shit. The only thing i don't like are my nightmares. They can get really intense, like i remember in this one dream i was at a party with all my friends we were drinking and dancing and then all of a sudden everyone stops and looks at me and they look almost possessed. And a couple people were throwing up idk like gang signs almost but they wernt gang signs. And they were basically asking me to sell my soul. And then i immediately woke up. But sometimes i can control my dreams and immediately change the vibe of it.

    I had crazy dreams when I started taking them, I loved them, they lasted for a week or so and then stopped =(

    If u don't like it smoke some weed. Its been clinically proven to dim ur dreams out if it doesn't blank em out all together.

    It's a common side effect. Go see your doctor if they get worse.
