Is it normal to have such moodswings?

There's something in me where I have these thoughts and mood swings that can really eff with me and my day. One minute I'm down cause of certain situations but then I just think positive and suddenly, I feel a light and Im better. But then Im back to being sad. It's just annoying. I dont think I'm bipolar but just to use the term, I can be "bipolar" about a lot of things. Sometimes I feel good about something and another day I don't. So I hate to talk to people and tell them my opinion when my opinion changes all the time. But also when it comes to my mood, it can be in my way of going on w my day. Is it normal to have such mood swings? I wish when I felt the light, I can just stay there.

  • I am bipolar and I have mood swings but they aren't as frequent as that. I can be up(mania) for a week then I crash into depression. The depression for me usually last for several months. There is a form of bipolar where you rapid cycle through the two, so I wouldn't fully rule that out.

You Type 1 or Type 2?

And what's with your description, if I may ask?

Yes, though I didn't find it particularly pleasurable.

          • Are you bipolar?

Was it because of Eccentric? He's harmless really.

No, but a fair number of my family members are (though because of the psychotic nature of bipolar disorder, some of them have also been diagnosed with schizophrenia). We've been trying to convince my brother to go to a doctor because his behavior has been growing increasingly erratic over the past several years, and he's near the age that our father was when he had his first break. We have some cluster B personalities in my family as well.

I usually say nothing and just end up watching in chat. I used to wander away for a few minutes, forget that I was in chat, and come back with more than a few people saying things like "@nobody13 hello?"

I dunno, it depends on how frequent and severe these mood swings are, but I ain't gonna hate on ya, because I certainly have my own afflictions. I kinda like bipolars and Borderlines.
    :-)
