Is it normal to have sex with spouse in the same bed as sleep 2 y/o kid?

The title basically says it all. I've gotta think I'm not the only person who doesn't allow the need to share a bed with a toddler to ruin sex life.

I have a 2 year old and couldn't imagine getting horny, never mind having sex with my daughter in the same room, never mind the same bed! What's wrong with the child sleeping in own bed? Can kind of understand if it's a space issue when kids sleep in same room as parents and parents have sex, but deffo not in same bed.

Through experience, I have learned that if a wedding ring doesn't end a couple's sex life, having a child will.

so the sex doesn't wake your child up?

be careful about that however, because once your child hits a certain age it could be something that CPS would find... disturbing enough to investigate

    • No, the kid(s) never wake up; we save the wilder sex for when the kids are in their own beds. And now that we moved into a new house, they do actually have their own beds and room now. So it's pure laziness, and a desire to avoid waking them up during the move to their own room, that motivates this decision.

it still rather turns me off.

then again i don't need to use a bed for sex anyway. not when there are other areas in the house to use.

still i'm surprised the bouncing doesn't wake junior up.
