Is it normal to have repressed memories

I was bullied by one of my cousins when I was younger and my parents ask me if I remember some of the worst stuff he did, but I can't seem to recall any of it. The events sound pretty bad, like locking me in a wooden box and making me dress like a girl and some other plane shitty things. What do y'all think?

I believe having repressed memories is completely normal. You went through something traumatic in your life and you subconsciously forced yourself to forget. It's like a coping method. I completely understand this. I was bullied from the ages of 10 to 16 from both my classmates and my older sister. I don't remember much of it at all, but I have a clear understanding that it happened through other people. One of the most complex moments however, is a story my mother has told me. Apparently one day when I was around 11 or 12, my Mom heard my sister screaming upstairs. She ran upstairs to find me on top of my sister just pounding her face with my fists. I have no memory of this whatsoever. It's like it never happened but everyone else remembers it.

P.S. My mom says my Sister deserved it.
