Is it normal to have recurring dreams about sex with my female best friend?

My best friend is gay, and i am straight. We have fooled around twice in our 10 year friendship. I am attracted to girls, i get turned on by them. But never could i date a female, i enjoy sex with a guy too much and i cant handle the estrogen on a romantic level. But i have these crazy dreams alllll the time. I am dealing with her starting to date my other best friend, and i have been jealous. I know i dont like like her in a girlfriend dating kind of way. But i cant stand knowing they are having sleep overs and kissing etc. Is this normal??

    makes sense. i am use to our dynamic being flirtatious, and maybe i am just jealous that this dynamic may stop, and i enjoy that form of attention from a guy or a gay female...because both are attracted to females so it would make anyone feel good. Thanks :) that helps

    Just because you have a sexy homosexual dream doesn't mean you want gay sex.

    What it means is that your body was feeling aroused and your mind combined that with images of someone you care about. Plus, you're feeling jealous that you're cut out of the loop a bit, so you're thinking of her more. Perhaps you're even subconsciously wondering if she'd like you more if you were lesbian too.

    ergo, your mind gave you sex dream about a friend.

    I would suggest two things.
    1) Remember she's still your friend. You will be pushed to the side a little as her romance buds. Love birds always go blind like that at the start of a new relationship. Once she's over the loveblind stage she'll remember her other friends too.

    2) Enjoy the dream and the arousal.... "work it out" of your system and then go back to #1 again. =)
