Is it normal to have people mass downvote random threads?

Are the trolls teaming up to downvote groups of people? There was a thread and there was no thumb downs but within a minute of that there was like 4 downvotes on each comment and none of those comments really said anything bad. They asked for clarification of post.

    Hello again! People abuse having multiple accounts. It sucks but there's nothing we can really do about it, sadly. Maybe some day they'll realise that no-one cares, but perhaps the goal is to downthumb people until they can't comment anymore? I'm sure that could be easily revoked anyhow, with a quick word in Udi's ear and slipping a £5 note under the table.

    People do it because they're sad as fuck. It doesn't matter anyway because anyone with a decent intellect can differentiate the good comments from the bad.

        I think it's probably just one person. Most of the comments that get downthumbed are around -3 or so and I have no idea who it would be that is doing it.

        Again, it's just pathetic of them.
