My wife and I are married with a 3 year old. We have been married for 4 years (I'm 35 & She's 32). My wife has lost interest in sex - we have it once a month. Some of her reasons are either she's too tired (I help her as much as possible with household chores), Busy with my kid, doing something she likes OR its because I've gained weight - very rarely do we have sex when I feel like. Its always been when she's in the mood. Its frustrating @ times - we spoke about it and it has not helped.

    they don't get turned on after being pregnant like they used to, unless they using hard drugs

    Thank you very much - She is very tired for any foreplay too.. Even if I suggest a warm soothing massage she feels it will end up with Sex which will make her more tired.. When she feels hot its mostly when I have to finger her while she sleeps in the afternoon/night. Maybe I just have to live with it!

    She might just be having a naturally-lowering libido as she's getting older, but it may also be any of the reasons thisissomuchfun stated :)

    Your child is still young and at a needy age. Even if things have improved in the past year or so, as far as her workload/stress levels go, she could still be worn out from the entire experience of having a child and is stuck in a rut of exhaustion. I doubt it is a reflection on how she feels about you or your weight gain.

    Still, sex is a very important part of a relationship as it helps a couple bond emotionally. You've talked about it and let her know how you feel, so now it is up to her. Perhaps she could see a marital counsellor for a few sessions and they might give her some insights into how she can regain her libido.

      Oh, and don't forget to engage her in some serious foreplay - it helps. :)
