Is it normal to have inverted nipples?

I have inverted nipples. If you don't know what it is look it up. Basically my nipples are flat, they don't poke out from my breasts unless I'm cold, turned on or force them out. I was born with them.

I'm just wondering if other people have them, because I'm very self conscious about them. How do you guys feel about being with a girl with inverted nipples?
Ive been considering the surgery, but cannot afford it yet.

    My mom says she had them before she had children, but pregnancy fixed them. They're not rare.

    I think most guys don't care if your boobs aren't perfect, they think boobs are great no matter what. I was self-conscious about having stretch marks on my boobs, but my boyfriend never noticed them, or didn't care enough to comment.

    Yes it's normal. Do not waste your money on surgery! I know someone with inverted nipples and she is very self conscious about it as well. She is tall, thin, curves, big boobs and drop dead gorgeous but hates her nipples lol. Some guys are assholes, those are the types that are insecure about themselves as well. Don't sweat what guys think. Enjoy your youth, have fun and stay away from assholes, they don't deserve to see your breasts anyways!!

      Thanks! I guess the reason I`m so self conscious is because I`ve never heard of anyone else with this. None of my friends have them, though I guess they would just not tell anyone if they did.

    I also have inverted nipples. It occurs in a percentage of the population. As long as you're not experiencing pain or discharge, it's not medically an issue. I'm also very self-conscious about them, but my girlfriend (I'm a lesbian) didn't seem to mind them. Before you think about getting surgery, look into the non-surgical methods of drawing them out; I know there are some out there, though I haven't tried any yet.

    I had that too, getting my nipples pierced solved the problem. Although I don't have them pierced anymore, they never went back to being inverted.

    I looked it up and this is pretty common although aparenlty there not supposed to be like that because it could mean its a genetic disorder or some other illness. Personally I thank you for this question because never in my 18 years have I heard of this until today. I want to be a nurse and Im a medicine freak and for me this is so awesom. Im a girl btw and If i were a boy I wouldnt mind It would be weird at first since I have never seen that before but its nothing to feel bad about. You should be confident with what you have :) It could be worst you could not have a boob or something.

      I personally had never heard of this either- until i realized it`s what i had myself. My mother had them too before she had me and never bothered to tell me that it was different. I probably didnt realize until the middle of highschool that my nipples actually weren`t normal. I realized I`d never seen ANYONE with nipples like mine so I guess this is why I`m so self conscious.

    Hold on, I'm 33 and haven't seen any like that-googling it.....ok, I saw a bunch just now. No, it wouldn't bother me at all. How strange, that I've never come across this before....you're cool. I wouldn't worry about it. :) If my wife had those, I'd still be all over them!

    Ummm guys do care. Lol guys that I know still make fun of girls that they hooked up with that had that.... They said it was weird... However these guys are jerks! It really doesn't matter as long as you love yourself. You deserve better than a guy who would care about that anyway.
