Is it normal to have heart pain during exercise?

I been going to the gym lately. I not really enjoying it and I dont feel like I really getting anywhere. However I joined this class I started doing. However today when I did the exercise my heart started hurting really bad. Also some background im not overweight. I am actually thin and always was very small even when I did not do a lot of activity.

Stop it before you kill yourself! You need to see a doctor!

I agree with rose, you should get a physical and tell your doctor about this. If you can, find out if your family has a history with heart problems.

Well, as it says on the warnings plastered all over the gym equipment: if you feel pains or discomfort, stop and see your doctor.

Maybe something along the lines of an arrhythmic heart beat. Request for an EKG but most likely you overdid it.

Try one hour of sub-aerobic exercise, five times per week. You'll probably be ready for the aerobic pulse rate zone after three weeks or so.

        Aerobic: .7*(220-your_age) < your_pulse_rate < .85*(220-your_age).

        Sub aerobic < .7*(220-your_age)

Did you overdo it on the exercise?
