Is it normal to have conversations in my head?

At least once a day I'll have conversations with myself in my head. I'll have actual discussions and sometimes arguments. Note that I hardly ever talk to myself out loud. Is this the onset of schizophrenia or some other psychological disease? Is this normal?

Schizophrenia is HEARING VOICES IN YOUR HEAD!!!

I really don't see anything wrong with TALKING TO YOURSELF, AT LEAST YOU CAN ANSWER YOURSELF!!!

    I DO THE SAME THING!!!

WHO SAID, YOU CAN'T KEEP YOURSELF COMPANY!!!

A LOT OF PEOPLE DOES IT.

I do that often, as well. Sometimes, I need to escape the stupidity and foolishness of the rest of human society and talk to someone intelligent for a change.

Yeah, my other-self is way smarter than me too.

It can teach you stuff if you can learn to master it.

    Good luck eh.

As more and more of us learn to master our subconscious mind, those without this ability will eventually be seen as... challenged, or deficient as they are unable to use their entire minds.

In other words, your definition of "kook" will change.

Neither of the people inside me appreciate that comment! But yes, I think I'm a kook.

Also note that the other side of me, not me, but the other "person" in me is much smarter and more conservative than me. "He" is also very hard on me as well. I don't know which side is the real me. The "younger" dumber side or the "older" smarter side.
