Is it normal to have been told in middle school i'd be vs model??

One boy said it and like 3 or 4 agreed and would sometimes bring it up later. I always found it to be a strange compliment, but I did dress pretty slutty (for school) as a 7th grader. A lot of girls and some boys would comment on that.

The Victoria Secret comment never left me though, probably because I liked two of the boys that said it. is it normal to hear that in 7th grade? (I had hit puberty nearly a year before and was super skinny BTW.
