Hello everyone.
A comment in the neighbouring thread made me think: Isn't it a desaster, that we still haven't got an AA group here? The low number of drug and alcohol users certainly can't be the problem.
I'll start, then.
My name is unimportant and I'm an alcoholic.
And the question is: is it normal to be an alcoholic? Do you consider yourself to be one?
Most alcoholics can't even admit they have a problem.
And I don't think this is the best place to have AA meetings. Especially with all the trolls.
LOL I don't think its normal to be an alcoholic and I don't understand why the site would have an AA group. There is the chat where people can go to sort out their issues. I tend to vent there
Are you really an alcoholic?
I don't know how normal it is for someone to actually be an alcoholic, but it's normal for someone who is an alcoholic to go to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings if they're smart and wanna get sober.
call up a church or an answering service or the hospital (be sober when you do this) and tell them you need an aa sponsor or a place where there are meetings. they might even find someone to get you to meetings if you don't have a way there.
ALSO there is a streaming station (you can listen on your computer) coming out of akron called the summit. They have something called rock and recovery after 10 pm. They have commercials in between the music and they give you numbers websites and toll free numbers if you need more than just AAmeetings.
