Is it ok that my girlfriend is 16 and im 20 the legal age of consent is 16 in my country. Yet people still frown upon me I love my girlfriend to bits but im getting alot of hate because of her age but its legal for me to be with her please help me out. :(
You said it yourself, you love her to bits. Nothing else should matter. You can't please everybody, someone is always going to disapprove your choices.
its normal. But it just mean you're not mature enough for someone your age. It's a little creepy. It's like you never got out of highschool.
im not going to have sex with her. she is a christian and has taken a vow to be abstenant til marriage and i support her choice
Legally sound n morally so are very different concepts, just because you can have sex with her without breaking the law doesn't make it 'ok' she may seem mature to you but neither her mind or body have stopped growing, be ready for serious consequences if you upset her, she may act in an immature and even unsafe way.
If she's at the age of consent, then you should be fine. :) If you two make each other happy, then screw what anyone else says. A 4 year difference isn't a big deal!
I get why people would look down on you guys.. She's to old to call that pedophilia so personally, when i see a guy with a girl that age it just seems that the guy's just trying to get a girlfriend, and the easiest way to do that is go for the younger ones because they're so easily impressed. I respect guys who have to compete a little more than that.
But look.. if your relationship is legit, and she's mature enough, it shouldn't be a problem and so you can stuff what any one else says.
