Is it normal to have a recurring rash on my hips and lower stomach

Please pleeeeease give me some input on this because it's been coming back and then going away for 6 years now. The best way I can describe it:

-Very bad itching that makes it worse
-Dime-sized raised lump on my right hip that is very dry and scabby (Also itches)
-The rash on my lower tummy is basically several red dots and the whole area is darker in color than the rest of me

I am impressed by the comments so far and there is little I can add. Maybe you could dust the areas with baby powder after you bath or shower. The groins can get very sore if not dried or if they become sweaty.
Generally speaking, the medical profession will agree that skin complaints can be difficult to treat but I would certainly go to a doctor to be examined.
You have to be aware that certain sexual diseases exhibit long term symptoms that can be misleading. I am not suggesting for one moment that this applies to you but being aware of such things is good to know.

    • Okay, thank you. I've tried baby powder on the rash (tried everything) but that made it more dry and basically made it worse. As for sexual disease, this first occurred when I was about 10 so I'll rule that out.

well..hm..my opinion is it could be either A. your pants (most likely jeans) are rubbing away your skins natural oils making it dry and rashy. B. You don't wash your clothes or underwear or something enough and it's breeding impetigo which is a common viral infection of the skin making it do..well what you just said.
