Is it normal to have a phobia of yelling?

My dad used to get drunk and scream at me a lot when I was little. I didn't think it had that much of an effect on me till my manager got in my face for not locking the door last month and I almost started crying. Same thing when my girlfriend screams at me.I just ccan't handle people in my face yelling. Either I wanna cry, or hit them.

I don't do well with yelling at all. I kinda shut down. One of my sisters is the same. Our father had a short, loud string when we were growing up.

Yes but you need to toughen up cause the world is full of assholes. You have to get used to it.

Moderately normal, and I can empathize since similar things happen to me. When the yelling starts, my body just shakes and I fall into tears no matter what i'm feeling, so mine's more severe, but yeah.

Not normal but understandable from the circumstances you were in when you were young.
