Is it normal to have a much keener sense of smell when you are on you period?

Everytime I am on my period. I have super keen senses. I walk down this little street in the city everyday to work, it is full of little cafes and soup shops and regularly it is fine but when I am on my period the smell is soo strong I gag. IIN? anyone get this or am I part super hero when it's my time?

    Yes very normal. Womens senses become very sensitive during menstruation

    Yes, this is normal.

    Females have to be exceptionally aware of predator threats during times when they're... um... how do I put this? Stinky-like.

    And not just human females. It's anything that menstruates.
