Is it normal to have a hard time seeing hipsters as real people?

When I see them or someone who looks like one, it is just hard to see them as actual people.

I don't know. Do they do normal human stuff like eat, sleep, have feelings, etc? They just seem like such weird creatures.

I do not hate them. I just do not get them. We have a couple places around town where hipster culture is thick.

Do they have specific rights or are they fighting for such? things like - can they get married? Are there hipster restroom laws? Do they have parades? Is there a "Hipster Lives Matter?"
Would they smell funny if you got too close?

            I think it is called "after hours".
            The remake was pretty good but the original was kind of silly.

            But is that where hipsters come from? Dept store mannequins?

    Are hipsters still around?

    There's a fixed law about popular fashion: when a particular style reaches a certain critical mass, it becomes merely part of the social landscape and so invisible. And when the style loses its "Look at me! I'm so unique and individual!" value, it ceases to be attractive to needy attention-whores and dies out to be replaced with some other damn ridiculous thing.

    I feel similarly to you. Like, what are hipsters really?

    Is there a different person underneath the hipster persona, or has it taken them over?

    Sometimes, a chill hipster can be refreshing, but I could not live like them or accept all their values.

    Hipster food is interesting though. I like it.

      For women - if they look like they transported here from the 1950's or 60's.
      For men - if they have like this long mountain man looking beard and slicked back hair.

      Also if you play the Kongos song "Come with me now", the people who start singing and dancing involuntarily are hipsters.

      Oh shit people you are gonna die. I saw this thing that said - Hipster peer pressure - "Come on, no one else is doing it!"
