Ever since I was a teen, all I can think about is sex. I imagine people I see of both sexes naked and wonder if they’re str8, gay or bi. I also watch a lot of porn, to the point that I got caught at my job and got fired. I’ve Ben thinking of going for sex addiction treatment, but I don’t know if I can.
Treatment sounds like a good call. I'm guessing you'll need to replace out-of-place sexual reward-seeking with something else that you like, and train up some different neurone pathways over time.
Saying to yourself 'stop thinking about sex' repeatedly is perhaps of limited use, because while you're telling yourself to stop thinking about sex, you still haven't got the notion of sex out of your head. It's like telling yourself not to think about a pink elephant. In order not to think about it, you first have to think about it.
I'm no expert, but the pink elephant analogy is something my shrink gave me.
