yeah, the first day of my current job was pretty crappy, i thought i was going to have to quit, because the people 'training' me had no idea what to do, and i ended up having to stand around listening to their gossip for almost 6 hours, and what they did tell me about the job was how to do it in the most lazy and dishonest way.. the next day an older employee was there to train me and it was infinitely better, now i've been there almost a year..

        • Long story short. I'm in healthcare. Too many patients and not enough time to provide adequate care for all of them.

        • Sexual harassment is a serious offense. You didn't get fired for wanting a raise, you got fired for tampering with your co-worker's package. There's a difference my friend.

I remembered by first day like it was just Yesterday.

I drove to work a little earlier so I could compose myself in the car, as time went on I would over think things and even considered of just driving back home.

It was very nerve recking to go to a new job and it didn't help that my Manager happened to be on leave for the next two weeks, so I was basically shoved at the front line without any proper training.

The team did within their upmost best to train me within the best of their abilities and the meager time they had due to the fact, I was replacing a staff member hence they were short staffed.

They were nice but I could sense their frustration when I would have a question or they had to get off the front line to assist me. I felt completely useless knowing we had a crap load of clients but all I could do is just stand here and watch the others deal with them.
