Is it normal to have a completely new experience, but dreamed it already?

Sometimes, I'll be in a city or place i've never been to before... but then i'll realize it's actually very familiar. Anyways, It happens a lot and i will recall back to a area I had that mimicked the exact scene of it all. Has this ever happened to you ? It's happened multiple times in different types of places or even with people or activities... is it normal ?

Question, do you recall ever making eye contact with any 'person' or 'people' in your dreams...I recall twice and as soon as I did, I immediately awoke, feeling very out of place...almost like a first day of a new school feeling or on stage giving a speech that was a suprise to you and I'm also naked and the only one who seems to care, yet that very awkward sensation? Curious if it's common, or anot individual experiance...I'm doing research, so, honesty is appreciated..thx

Personally, through experience, many of them, I feel that dreams that are remembered in detail or that reoccur are a type of precognition, but not in the sense of seeing the future, rather, meant to put you on the path to/toward that future.. or as close as you allow yourself to get .think, if you've never had the dream to begin with, would you have lived that experience, or something comely different....dreams are important and I feel there should be much more effort and study into understanding them , as they are our inner mind speaking out to us, in a foreign language few understand and even fewer are willing to even listen to or hear....pay attention to them, write them down, I advise, seek multiple sources if looking for interpretation , there is many similarly amongst them, yet many differences, Ivery found the best results is to , after waking, lye still , zero motion, and reflect on your dream, and then, after 2 min or so, write it down as quickly and impulsively as you can, just vomit the words out onto paper, can always go back and rewrite, but get the major meaning and theme and as many characters and details out of your head onorth paper, then after a while and a few more dreams written down, read it like a story, and , oddly, things kinda just emerge and solutions to issuesee unknown prior just appear...

Yes, in fact. This has happened to me several times. Not just places but people and events will play out exactly like my dreams. It took me a long time and one particular vivid dream to realize what was going on. I can't explain it and can't control when it happens so I rarely talk about it. I'm not fond of ridicule.
