Is it normal to hate your geographical birthplace and how it affects my dreams

i am not a hater of my own country or anything extreme like that, but i sometimes have dreams of making it big on the entertainment industry, like a band or a solo artist, and yea, its rather farfetched at times, but sometimes i just watch the telly and think about haow much easier it could be if i was born in America or Britain, cause my country doesnt have such a great entertainment scene, and i am constantly reminded to study cause my country is built on meritocracy, and a degree is important, and what not. haha. even writing a book is hard, cause i find my country's heritage and culture not as cool as the greeks or americans. haha

    it's always like that for everyone. every where else seems so exotic and exciting.

    if you want to make it in entertainment, turn off the tv and get practicing whatever it is that you do.

    music or singing can come after you get your education.

    Maybe it would actually work out BETTER for you there than a place that has such a high media bustle. Here (U.S.) there are SOOO many people trying to make it big and most of them aren't succeeding or even being noticed. Maybe there you'd have a better chance being "discovered" than getting lost in THIS huge pool.

    Yeah!!!! I fucking hate my birthplace I wish I were from U.K.,L.A.,Washington,even Cuba is better than this place. And I hate my last names
