Is it normal to hate when everyone else you know has something and you don't?

for instance a good gaming set up. you know that other people are sitting there in there spare time (not addicted though), enjoying some great games with their friends and you can't because what you used to game on is now dead because you've had it too long. I say this because I am currently planning on buying a new gaming PC but I struggle to wait for new things, my point is that I've gone a long time without enjoying some video games with friends. is it normal to be jealous of other people with their awesome gaming PCs/consoles?
