Thinking sex is gross means that one sex drive is feeble. People's sex drives, particularly females, don't reach very high levels until later in puberty.

Just my personal experience, but being a female myself and mostly around girls at that age and them telling me things now about it, I can say it’s not really entirely true.

There's some truth to this. Sex is gross. The whole operation is disgusting the more you think about it. Our sex drives cut through that and make us want sex, not just in spite of how weird and yucky it is but in a sort of transformation of that reaction into a desire for what is alien and other to our own bodies. If you don't want that, or also if you just want filth and depravity, your sex drive is probably messed up.
An no my highest was when I was in elementary school. Don’t ask, I have no idea, but I have kept it hidden well. I know many girls that were interested in it early on, they just never talked about it to people they didn’t really know I guess
