Is it normal to hate people who tell me i'm quiet when they don't even know me?

I absolutely HATE it when I just meet someone and they tell me I'm too quiet. They don't even know me, and it's not like I have the type of personality where I'm loud and crazy all the time. Once people get to know me, they find that I am a pretty cool person to talk to, but the people who label me as a "quiet one" piss me off like none other. I just want to punch them or tell them to STFU! And then there's the people who say "it's the quiet ones you gotta look out for," like I'm some kind of murderer because I'm not super outgoing. And also, WTF am I supposed to say when people tell me I'm quiet??? "Oh yeah, your right, thanks for pointing that out????"

    Yep people are mostly morons like that. They meet you for 2 mins and next min their coming out with shit like that, Drive me mad too. I always put those type of comments down to those people just being blind morons basically.
    I often get , gee your a nice guy. HU , if only they f'n knew, talk about gullible .
    You know you pass someone or your talking to them out somewhere for 2 mins, uhh , you are normally gonna try to be basically at least polite to them aren't you. It means nothin !

    They are saying it to irritate you and it is working, but it is definitely normal to feel that way. I don't understand people who are disturbed by someone who isn't blabbering all the time. Sometimes you just don't have anything particular to say at the moment!

    I get this too all the time. For years people that don't know me will ask "Why are you so quiet?" or "Are you always so quiet?" as if something must be wrong with me because I'm not constantly running my mouth. Mostly I think people are just wondering what you are thinking, probably about themselves, or if you are judging them. I think it will never go away, but frankly I think it's rude.

    Oh ya and people wrote that in my yearbook too (my friends friends that I don't know!) "I'll miss you even tho ur quiet. Ily <3" so fake...and I don't even know them!!!
