Is it normal to hate people who only like bob marley because he smoked weed?

Whenever I hear someone say they love Bob Marley, the only song they know that they can name is "Don't worry be happy" (which he didn't even do). Coincidentally, the person also smokes pot. And if you can go to their facebook profile you can see that their cover photo is of Bob Marley smoking weed. So that brings me to the conclusion that they only like Bob Marley because he smoked pot. The don't look past that. Forgot the messages he was trying to send in his songs, he smoked weed, so that's why they love him so much.

Seriously this just infuriates me so much. I love reggae in general (And by that I mean past the Marley family), and if Bob saw why all these people liked him he would probably be rolling in his grave.

    I know people with symbols of pot leaves as their cover photos on Facebook who don't even smoke pot. They just like the "rebel" image, which I think is just silly :P

    I smoke pot, but I hate reggae and it's artists with a passion. I also dislike the Rastafarian beliefs and philosophies. The world will always be unkind in many ways, so someone man has to fight. Anyone who has a "peace and love" mentality just leaves the fighting to others, trying to hide the fact that they are a useless fucking coward.

    This is a true post. Personally, to me, he's an ok artist. However, I know what his standings were for. I'm the Tupac generation. Point: even I can't stand that shit. I wanna smack the fuck outta all of em. SERIOUSLY

    People who claim the Rastafari just because they smoke weed annoy the piss out of me. Smoking dope does not equivalate to understanding Rastafari any more than carrying a cross means understanding Christianity. It's a crock of shit to see people running around with the colors who have no clue what they mean.

    Just kidding, I knew that. However, I didn't know he was a toker before I started enjoying his music. His music reminds me of sunny days spent socializing with friends when I was a teenager. Good times. :)

    Anyway, yeah, it ruins it. If it's an artist you care about, then it does seem disrespectful for them to try and act like they genuinely love them like how you do, when they actually don't. It's insincere, and there's something impolite about it, although I can't quite phrase why.:P I just don't like it either. I really just dislike people who act like they like something when they don't *really*, it's pretty shallow and it ruins it for people who do genuinely like the artist.
