Is it normal to hate how little kids are pushed into being cute

I turn on the TV and there's all these game shows where all the contestants are young children. Like, kids singing, dancing, showing off "talents", and even cooking, and then the judges say all the kids were amazing because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. This is supposed to be entertaining and stuff because it's "cute". I don't hate kids but when they get pushed into media and are overly complimented for doing simple things or even just showing up it kind of annoys me. It feels like the cuteness thing is being force fed to me.

I totally agree and I also hate those disgusting "beauty" contests where little girls are plastered in makeup and grownup clothes - YUK - pedophiles must love those shows.

I've heard that it's common now at kids' parties for everyone to win every game - for example, you can't have one chair short in musical chairs because that means someone loses in every round, which of course totally destroys the whole point of the game. How these poor kids cope with the real world later on, when they find out not everyone can win everything, boggles my mind.

    One word-Honey Boo Boo.

I hate those shows because when the child grows up it will probably be so embarassed for it that it would rather hang itself than watch it again.

    It is completely normal

Its our culture. Not much you can do about it. Maybe turn off the TV.

Yeah same, they are just mini useless, stupid humans. Children are an annoyance at best.
